#SportingJourneys

On display is Dipa Karmakar - our very own gymnast who we’d supported for years. She went on to finish 4th at the Olympics winning many hearts, despite falling short of a medal!

About

The GoSports Foundation is a not-for-profit funding Olympic and Paralympic athletes in India.

The Problem

How do we leverage the buzz around the 2016 Rio Games to support the journeys of India’s Olympic and Paralympic athletes?

The Solution

2016 provided a fleeting window of opportunity to not only showcase the various athletes The Foundation was supporting but also highlight their trials and tribulations on the journey to the top.

#SportingJourneys was a campaign executed at the Bengaluru International Airport, whom GoSports had partnered with. Utilising the various media spaces at the airport, banners of various athletes were showcased; the idea was to mirror these journeys with those of the diverse travellers at India’s 3rd largest airport. Along with the static and digital hoardings, partnerships with Facebook and Twitter helped us amplify athlete achievements and raise their individual profiles.
